Let&#8217;s take a look!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the first graph we examine the&nbsp;<em>median total cash<\/em>&nbsp;for&nbsp;investment professionals in the United States and Europe. The job positions&nbsp;range&nbsp;from managing general partner to associate. For this dataset, we looked at venture capital firms with less than $500 million in total AUM.&nbsp;<strong>The median total cash is higher for all investment professionals in the United States than in&nbsp;Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image img-border\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jthelander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/f976d99e-b221-b056-0b2a-427d896828db.png\" alt=\"Investment Professional Median Total Cash \"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second graph shows the\u00a0<em>median carried interest<\/em>\u00a0for investment professionals in the United States and Europe, using the same parameters as above.\u00a0<strong>Similar to the first graph, the median carried interest percentage is higher for all positions in the United States than in Europe.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image img-border\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jthelander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/597787af-37ac-7b2e-8d05-c6f988af4677.png\" alt=\"Investment Professional Median Carried Interest\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After examining the data from the Thelander-PitchBook Investment Firm Compensation Survey,<strong>\u00a0the cash compensation in the United States is marginally more competitive, but close.
